Circa 153 million years old.
Very striking examples of these small cut and polished perisphinctes kosmoceras ammonites. During the fossilisation process, the entire body of the ammonite has been replaced with the mineral Iron Pyrite, giving them their distinctive golden colouring.
Mounted on an argillite matrix with calcite and pyrite.
