Fossilised wood sections
Really tactile slices of polished fossilised wood from the Araucaria tree family (which includes the monkey puzzle). These high quality, thick wood slices are so well preserved that the tree rings and the exterior bark are still clearly visible.
From Ancondromena, Western Madagascar.
Triassic, circa 248 million years old.
Dimensions: length: 12cm width: 9cm depth: 1.5cm
