Algerian desert rose
Fabulously detailed ‘desert roses’.
These clusters of gypsum crystal formed in the Sahara. Ambient sand was incorporated into the crystal structures that form in arid and sandy conditions. The region is rich in iron oxides and so the desert roses take on a characteristic rusty tone.
Minimum size: Height: 11cm Width: 8cm Depth: 5cm.
