Macrocrinus Mundulus: this is an excellent 3D specimen of the species. Also known as ‘sea lilies’, crinoids were aquatic creatures that fed by filtering small particles of food from the water with their feather-like arms.
Found in the Edwardsville Formation, Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Dating from the Lower Carboniferous, circa 340 million years old.
