Nautilus Shell (medium)
Fossilised nautilus shell (not actually anything to do with ammonites, apart from being an aquatic mollusc) from the extinct Cymatoceras sakalavus.
Nautilus, which are marine cephalopods, are still found in our oceans today. However there are only six species remaining, compared to the hundreds that existed at the time when this species was swimming in the oceans.
Found in Majanga province, Madagascar.
