A very large tooth from a Mammathus primigenius, a species of Mammoth that was common throughout Europe in the Pleistocene epoch.

Found in unconsolidated sediment of the North Sea, this near-complete molar dates to a time when the area was low-lying grassland connecting the British Isles to the Continent.

From the Pleistocene, circa 100,000 years old.
